Qualcomm’s (a world leader in mobile technologies) last year acquisition of HaloIPT (provider of wireless charging technology for electric cars) seemed slightly unusual! But Qualcomm’s investment and interest is not the automobile industry but the wireless technology in mobile devices and the added value wireless charging would bring to their existing wireless devices.
